Birthday Wishes | ♥

Happy Birthday, Rubber Ducky!

I just wanted to take the time to share a little love with my dearest friend with all of you. Sarah! I hope that you have been having an absolutely wonderful day! Just know that your 19th year of living will be the absolute best one yet, I'm sure of it! In exactly two weeks will mark a year of us knowing each other, and I am so thankful that we did. Ever since meeting you at Fish Camp, I knew we were going to be good friends. We have been able to by each other's side through all the daring adventures that college has had to offer us, and I can't wait for us to make many more memories this upcoming year. Your present is currently intangible to both you and me, but soon enough it shall make it through the mail into your hands! :D

So for now, I'll just leave you with this:

Love ya, girl!

Weekend Adventures | Jenabelle

Despite all the college classes I've been bombarded with this summer, it has undoubtedly been the best one yet! From spending my first summer away from my mom's house to spending hour after hour with amazing people - S/O to Sarah and Daniel ;) - I wouldn't have wished to spend my summer any other way... maybe with the exception of weekly testing. This weekend, though, has been pretty eventful, filled with ice skating, games with friends, Skype, puppies, lovely birthday dinners, hair dying fails, and window shopping.

One of my closest friends, Sarah came down for her birthday, and we made a trip to the skating rink. Keep in mind, I haven't been skating since I was 13, and I'm making my way into this with the mindset that I could master the art of ice skating in minutes. Immediately after getting on the ice, I realized that I was dead wrong. My respect goes out there to all the figure skaters, it's impressive work y'all do out there. Anywho, I entertained the idea of skating merely being a fast walking on water, as we struggled to get a decent picture with our company. I definitely managed to keep from falling though! Until the literal very last minute, when I decided to bust a dance move as I was about to leave the ice... Might I say ouch.

Oh, Olive Garden.

A few photos from appetizers, the main entrée and of course, dessert! The Minestrone Soup was outstanding, never will I get a salad as an appetizer again. I had myself the Ravioli Di Portabello - Absolute deliciousness. Sarah opted for the Garlic Rosemary Chicken, which I'm sure was just as beautiful to see as it was to eat. And for dessert, of course, I had the Dark Chocolate Caramel Cream and Sarah had the Amaretto Tiramisu. The staff, being so sweet, brought out a lovely little candle and we were all able to wish her an Olive Garden-style Happy Birthday.

After stuffing our faces with delicious foods, we stuffed our hearts with adorable puppies from the Puppy Station. For those who don't know, the Puppy Station is a place in our local mall where people are welcome to play with puppies for as long as they might wish - for simply a quarter. Being a college student, I can't afford a pet of my own, so this place is the perfect fix for me. The puppy on the right, we named Bailey, and the lovely darling on the left was named Parfait. A cute little duo, plum and tuckered out from a long day.

Since we were already in the mall, we managed to make our way around the mall to some of our favorite stores. This dress, in particular caught my eye. It's from Forever 21, and I just adore the little collar on this. Reminds me of a mix between my childhood and Minnie Mouse.

And to end the day, we made a trip to our local grocery store to pick up some hair dye for my hair. I opted for a blonde, in hopes of lightening my hair up a bit. But something went wrong; the color changed... but only a very minuscule amount. This dye certainly didn't do it for me, maybe it was the fact that it was a mousse and I need something more concentrated. I'm not too sure about all this hair dying business, although I'm hoping to work my way into an ombré soon.

All in all, it was a delightful weekend, and I'm glad that I was able to spend some quality time with my friend before she had to head back home.

Until next time,

xoxo

Day 1: Adventures

I can gladly say that I started off my spring break with a hit. A friend and I adventured into the local downtown square, and visited some of the cutest restaurants and a few of the local boutiques.
Caffé Capri. It has officially become my favorite restaurant. The classy, laid back vibe that it gives off is just so chill, and the food is spectacularly delicious, especially for the price.
This plate was probably three times as big as my head. I don't remember the title of the dish that I had, but it was something to do with lobster and pasta. It almost had a Cajun flavor... No matter, it was delectable nonetheless.

Oh.... This chocolate. Oh man. Chocolate covered pecan diamonds...  Just pure heaven. It was literally one of those things you had to take tiny bites out of because you wanted to be sure that you savored it.
Here's just a photo from one of the stores we visited. How classy.
The clothes was all too adorable, and I wish the entire store could just be my closet... You can never have too many of the same dress-even better when they come in different colors and sizes. Heh.

The day was filled with carbs, clothes, and chocolate. What better way to start off spring break?

Until next time,

xoxo

So ready for Spring Break

COLLEGE.

I have literally never been so excited for Spring Break in my entire life...
I am finally done with my pre-Spring Break round of tests, and I am BEYOND ready to enjoy my week off. I think I am planning to visit some family, which will be exciting.

Found this photo online at cmdrtaco.net, and I found it quite relevant to how I feel about my chemistry lab. Of course, we are much less chaotic... but that's how my brain feels after writing endless amounts of DRAs and discussion questions. OH, and I still have an anthro paper due that I am yet to start.... If only I could minor in procrastination. That could be a thing, right?

On the plus side, though, I had the opportunity to make/decorate some delicious cupcakes! Baking always helps calm my nerves. Plus, they're delicious!

I'm going to be taking my camera along with me on Spring Break, so I will definitely be uploading a post on that!

Until next time,

xoxo

Fun & Eventful Day | First Post!

Hello lovelies!

So today is officially going to mark my first ever post on here, and I can honestly say it's quite exciting. I don't anticipate to have many people viewing my page, seeing that I don't know much about how this whole blog business works. But it never hurts to give it a shot.

It's that time of year again. Pounds of chocolate are being stocked on nearly every shelf in stores and people are anxiously searching for the perfect gift for their "significant other." A few of my friends and I got together and had a Pre-Valentine's Galentine's Day out. (and it was much needed, let me tell you) We took a trip to the local theater and watched the Frozen Sing-A-Long, went out to eat at a nice restaurant, and then paid a visit to the Puppy Station inside our mall. I had the honor of spending some time with a lovely Bugle whom I named Reggie.

Isn't he the cutest? It was his first day at the station, so he was having a hard time adjusting to all the people inside. But he was indeed a lively little fellow.

Later, we treated ourselves to a cookie from Nestlé Toll House while walking around a few of the stores. I had a few interesting conversations with one of the employees at Earthbound, and bought a new hand sanitizer from Bath & Body Works. (Their summer collection, though...)

Oh! Just a random thought: I painted my nails the other day  thanks to some Hello Kitty/Valentine's Day inspiration I saw online.
What do you think? I've always been a huge fan of nail art, and what better place to share it than here with y'all?

Wellp, I've got a busy day ahead of me tomorrow. I should definitely head off to bed and attempt to sleep for a few hours.

Until next time,

xoxo
